Message the main one being that you should de-pin the white connector by the main ECU connector and then tape it up reall good and tight against the main trunk of the harness...it sounds like a PITA but it honestly takes two minutes to do, and two more minutes to draw up a map for re-pinning it after you got it all stuffed into the footwell. Pay attention to the shape of the connector when drawing the pin map. It is not symmetrical. It can only be re-pinned one way

The heater core hardpipes are a non-issue, they are not going to cause you much hassle apart from being maybe slightly in the way from loosening the nuts holding the nearest bracket which clasps the harness against the firewall.

Your routing asspain is going to come from the area I have circled in this photo. Find a better pic than mine or let me know and I can send you a larger version. This area requires some real dexterity in order to loosen/remove heatshields and harness-clasps. It can all be done though if you have short ratcheting wrenches, preferably with flex-heads, and no rheumatory arthritis.

As for getting the harness connector thru the firewall. I had ZERO luck "ovaling" the firewall hole. I crammed my breaker bar through there, tried a couple of wrenches and long socket drive extensions too, but simply could not get near enough leverage with the motor in the way to make any progress. I also did not do any of this stuff regarding removing glovebox and AC evaporator or anything inside the car apart from the ECU footwell cover.

The way to do this is wrap any exposed areas with electrical tape to protect the wires from the relatively sharp edges of the firewall hole. The stuff it in there as best you can. Then get the wife or a helper to push the harness into the firewall as you contort yourself into the footwell and pull from inside the car. The key is to get enough of it crammed in that you can get a good grip of the connector...yet another dexterity test. If you have ninja-like strength in your fingers then you will not need to cram as much thru to start with. It doesnt take much pushing effort either, just enough to aid you a few cm's while you wiggle the connector and pull it thru.

These are the biggest sticking points I can remember.
